About Us
PCH Staff
Meet the staff at Perth Children’s House that help make our school so special.
Michelle Barbrick
I grew up in Nova Scotia before attending the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and studying Political Science. I have been working in the Montessori system since 2004. I started out as an assistant at Montessori World in Fredericton, NB and after doing my teacher training eventually took over as Directress in 2006. I started as Directress of Perth Children’s House in the fall of 2007 shortly after moving to Ottawa.
Amy Neron
I am a graduate of Northern Lights College with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I am a certified ESL Instructor and have worked with children for the past 10 years as a Junior and Senior Kindergarten teacher, before and after school care provider, and Daycare and Preschool teacher. I am a Registered ECE in Ontario and my position in the PCH classroom is Supervisor and Montessori Assistant. I have been teaching at PCH since 2008 and am blessed to spend my day surrounded by children.
Kim Henderson
I attended St. Lawrence College in Kingston in 1989-1991 where I received my diploma for the Child and Youth Worker program. I worked in the public school system here in Perth as an Educational assistant for a couple of years but then stopped working in order to stay at home to raise my children. My children are now 16 and 14 and I have worked recently at other jobs, but I am thrilled to be working as a lunchroom monitor at the Montessori School where I am enjoying my time back in the field again.
